These terms are the agreement between you and Locker One Ventures, LLC for the use of Shared Journeys. Using the app means you accept them.
What Shared Journeys is
A tool for planning and running a trip with other people: an itinerary, the travelers on it, what everyone needs to bring, and a tally of who paid for what. We are not a travel agency. We do not book, sell or operate any flight, hotel, tour or other travel service, and we are not a party to anything you book elsewhere.
Your account
- You must be 13 or older to hold an account
- Keep your sign in details to yourself, and tell us if someone else gets access
- What happens under your account is your responsibility
Trips and organizers
A trip organizer controls their trip: who is on it, what it asks travelers for, and what it contains. By joining a trip you agree the organizer can see the information you add to it, as described in our privacy policy. If you no longer want to take part, ask the organizer to remove you or delete your account.
Splitting costs
Split Costs records what people have agreed between themselves and shows what is outstanding. It is a record, not a payment service. No money moves through Shared Journeys, we hold no funds, and we are not responsible for whether anybody actually pays. Debts between travelers are between those travelers.
What you put in
You keep ownership of what you add. You give us permission to store and display it for the purpose of running your trip, and to show it to the people on that trip. Do not upload anything unlawful, anything that is not yours to share, or anybody else's personal information without their agreement.
Automatic features
Some features read a document you upload, such as a booking confirmation or a receipt, and fill in details for you. Others suggest activities or generate artwork. These are conveniences and they are sometimes wrong. Check anything that matters, particularly times, dates and amounts, before relying on it.
Availability
We aim to keep the service running and we do not promise it will never be unavailable. We may change or withdraw features. If we discontinue the service we will give you reasonable notice and a way to take your trip information with you.
Liability
The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for travel arrangements that go wrong, or for disagreements between travelers. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Ending it
You can stop at any time by deleting your account in the app. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms or puts other people at risk.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, and the courts of California have jurisdiction, except where the law of the country you live in gives you the right to bring a claim locally.
